Deli-sliced human bodies have never been so beautiful. In her Tissue Series, Lisa Nilsson uses finely rolled paper in a technique called quilling to create anatomically correct artworks. “I find quilling exquisitely satisfying for rendering the densely squished and lovely internal landscape of the human body in cross section,” she says.
