Delegation of British biotechnology companies is visiting Japan this
week on a mission to promote their research and development services and
to court partners for joint ventures. They also hope to collaborate in joint
research programmes into, for example, anti-cancer drugs.

The 12 firms on the delegation aim to sell the strengths of the British
biotechnology industry in a whistle-stop tour involving half a dozen press
conferences.
