An orchid smuggler in Hong Kong received a 6-month jail sentence last
week for trading in endangered plants. This was Hsu She-hua’s third conviction
for illegal possession of slipper orchids collected from the wilds of southern
China and smuggled into the colony.

Hsu was caught red-handed with 2269 plants in his apartment last year.
