Germany may build a lightweight aircraft to carry scientific instruments
into the stratosphere 25 kilometres above the Earth.

The proposal comes from a company in Bavaria called Grob. Heinz Riesenhuber,

The aircraft would resemble a glider but would be powered by a propeller,
says Riesenhuber. It would cost about DM60 million (£20 million).
