Many offices have bans on smoking. But to give some relief to those
who cannot do without a smoke, Quality Air Systems of New Mexico proposes
a booth, like a telephone kiosk (WO 91/18247). Inside there is a fan and
electrostatic or activated charcoal filter.
Anyone who wants to smoke stands inside and puffs away. This trips a
smoke sensor which starts the fan and cleans the air before it escapes.
The booth can be large enough for a pair of smokers and for those who want
to linger, there is a shelf with a TV set.
