God and science are not only compatible but perfectly complementary.
Science has never even come close to disproving the existence of God, but
it has done a marvellous job in describing the works of His hands. The breadth
and depth of creation, from the initial uncoiling of DNA that eventually
results in a baby, to the galaxies that lie beyond my capacity to understand
time and space, speak of a Creator.

Of course, the existence of God cannot be proved either. But do not
ignore the fact that some of us scientists acknowledge there is a place
for faith. ‘Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction
of things not seen’. (Hebrews 11:1).
