I am a reader who has taken New Scientist for many years now and while
reading the latest edition I felt moved to write to you.

New Scientist is the only regular source of knowledge I use. The regular
media is so heavily steeped in all that is horrible and nasty that I have
not taken papers or listened to the news for many years.

Amongst other things, I like the way you do not limit yourselves to
those things that are strictly science. John Brunner’s ‘Sometime in the
recent future’, 10 April, I found very good as many traits of human nature
are as he describes.

It’s not real science, but an excellent allied article. New Scientist
is a unique and superb publication. Well done.
