Apparently only Klingons of the upper classes learn English. If you want to converse with the remainder of the Empire you need to buy Conversational Klingon, the cassette that’s on sale at the Science Museum’s Star Trek: The Exhibition (£4.95 adults, £2.50 concessions) until 25 February. Confirmed Trekkies will love this one – you can stand in the real Paramount Pictures starship Enterprise bridge, see what a phaser really looks like and lean on Jean-Luc Picard’s ready-room desk. Fans will be entertained, but a lack of interactive exhibits means young children may have to be kept on a short rein. Oldies, however will be fascinated by following the Science of Star Trek theme that runs through the exhibition and checking out the technology introduced during the series which has since become reality.
