Ervin Laszlo goes hunting “Mystery” in The Whispering Pond (Element,
£14.99/$24.95, ISBN 1 85230 899 0), hoping for a paradigm shift. He
finds in the quantum vacuum a psi force which “Connects” everything, eliminating
chance. For well-fed minds, it’s a whetstone on which to sharpen the
bullshit-detector; for hungry minds, a feast of traps.
