ONERA is France’s answer to NASA. You can catch up on its space activities
at the exhibition at La Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie in Paris to
mark ONERA’s 50th birthday. The exhibition, which runs from 13 December to the
end of June 1997, celebrates ONERA’s part in the development of the Mirage
fighter jet, Concorde, the Airbus airliners and Ariane rockets. Displays will
include a windtunnel and the “echo-free” chamber used to identify the unique
radar signatures of various flying objects.
