Review : Fine fungi

As a celebration of the beauty of British fungi, George McCarthy’s The Wild
Mushroom (Fountain Press, £24.95, ISBN 0 86343 386 3) is difficult to
beat. It includes more than 200 exquisite photographs of wild fungi, each one
perfectly lit and strikingly composed. Sara Shepley’s informative text provides
the history and the folklore.
