Whitten and colleagues and The Ecology of Kalimantan by Kathy MacKinnon and

73 7), are far more readable than they might appear. As the second and third
volumes in the Ecology of Indonesia series, between them they provide
comprehensive summaries of our scientific knowledge about this rich region.
Coverage ranges from rainforest habitats endangered by logging to human
attitudes to the environment.
