Slowly the floods in central Europe are beginning to subside. At their
peak, the waters stretched from Austria to Poland, and according to one report
covered a third of the Czech Republic. An idea of the widespread devastation can

(http://pooh. esrin.esa.it:8888/ew/floods.htm).
