Two popular slimming drugs have been taken off the market worldwide following
new evidence that they can cause heart problems. In one study, 30 per cent of
people taking fenfluramine or dexfenluramine, also known as Redux, showed signs
of abnormal heart valve function. Neuroscientists have also expressed concern
that the drugs could damage the brain
