The frustration of a TV remote control with low batteries could soon be a
thing of the past. Swiss company YDEA has developed a remote control that is
powered simply by pressing its buttons. When a key is pressed, two
neodymium-iron-boron magnets wobble, inducing an alternating current that powers
the infrared transmitting diode.
