Pipe probe

Cracks, corrosion and wall-thinning can now be detected in almost all kinds
of pipe thanks to a device that sends out ultrasound pulses to probe for flaws.
The device, developed by engineers at Pennsylvania State University, works on
everything from giant oil pipelines to domestic water or gas pipes.
