In The Secret Life of Nature, Peter Tomkins uncovers tales of astonishing
psychic phenomena, and credibility-stretching accounts of fairies and nature
spirits. But any illusion of objectivity is spoilt with his revealing epilogue:
“Clearly the cure for both the planet and our souls is one and the same:
initiation to clairvoyance, eventually for one and all.” Possibly bonkers, but
