A World’s Fair for the Global Village by Carl Malamud undersells itself. It
is supposed to be about the Internet 1996 World Exposition (a dull event). More
usefully, it provides a revealing behind-the-scenes look at the moment when it
dawned on business and government that the Net was interesting. Published by MIT
