Digital camcorders and digital still cameras both need a lens, image sensor,
LCD viewfinder, control electronics and battery. So Matsushita has designed a
single camera which uses tape for movies and a memory card for stills. The
Panasonic NV-C1 has a flash memory card that can store up to 48 snapshots. The
tape is played back through a TV, while the card is connected to a PC or
printer.
