It’s disappointing that The Cassell Dictionary of Biology by Gillian Waites
begins at “abdomen” rather than “aardvark”. Otherwise, it’s all much as you’d
expect it, down to the pretty pictures inserted to alleviate the textual tedium.
Still, it should be useful for school students and an occasional browse on the
