SMOOTHING out a wrinkly forehead may relieve migraines, says plastic surgeon
Bahman Guyuron of Cleveland, Ohio. He was intrigued when a patient who had
undergone “forehead rejuvenation” reported that her migraines had stopped. When
he checked on previous patients, he found that 31 of the 39 who’d suffered
migraines had experienced complete or significant relief.

Guyuron thinks tension in the muscle between the eyebrows, which is removed
during surgery, may trigger migraines. Further studies suggest about 80 per cent
of “migraineurs” benefit, he says. “We’ll face a fair amount of scepticism.” But
