Sticky reminders

A digital version of Post-it notes has been developed by researchers at IBM
Almaden. The D-Note is a screen the size of a credit card that can display
downloaded text or pictures. An adhesive backing means you can stick the
portable D-notes anywhere—to the back of someone else’s chair, for
example. So far, they are only experimental. “We have the technology to make
D-notes,” says IBM’s Paul Maglio, “but first we want to figure out how people
will use them.”
