When people who normally drive on the left-hand side of the road go abroad,
they are most likely to make dangerous mistakes at a junction, says David
Marshall of Guildford, Surrey. So he’s patenting an alarm which sounds a warning
to motorists when they turn a corner (GB 2358073). If the driver turns the
steering wheel by 90° or more, a sensor on the steering column triggers a
voice synthesiser, which yells a “keep right” warning.
