Post offices round the world are looking for ways to win back customers from email and fax. Eastman Kodak has a cunning plan—an ink-jet printer kit that lets people personalise their postage stamps (GB 2364039). The post office will print sheets of stamps with a blank central area, surrounded by a watermarked and coded border. Template software for your PC will then allow you to print whatever you like in the blank patch. How about a photo of yourself or your home—or even your dog? After all, postmen love dogs….
