It isn’t easy trying to handcuff someone who is on the rampage on an aircraft, so British company Deenside is patenting what it thinks is a practical solution (GB 2366182). It looks like a bell-shaped, voluminous “dress”, which is meant to be dropped over an air-rager’s head and quickly pulled down over their arms. As their head comes through the central opening at the top, two restraint straps are pulled to tighten the dress around the arms. This restrains the person enough to allow another couple of straps to be pulled that tighten more straps around the knees.
