Here’s a sad sign of the times. David Morrow of Lancashire says proof of consent is the best defence against accusations of rape, but you can hardly ask for something in writing at a time of high passion. Morrow’s answer is a special condom package that aims to “record evidence of consent to engage in a sexual act” (WO 0215785). His idea is to pack a foil-sealed condom inside a fold-out inner sleeve and an outer carton.
