MANY hearing aids end up gathering dust because users get fed up with the way they over-amplify traffic noise, muffle conversation, or turn the chink of dinner plates into resounding crashes. Now a new device that automatically adjusts to different environments according to the user’s preferences could make hearing less of a strain.
