The next generation of digital snapshot cameras could take 3D pictures similar to holograms, according to an Intel patent (GB 2 370 443). These cameras will have a built-in location sensor – either a global positioning system receiver or an accelerometer. After the first shot you move the camera sideways and turn it slightly for a second shot. As well as storing the images, the camera will store the exact location and angle at which you took the pictures.
