Donald Norman is a professor of computer science at Northwestern University in Chicago. From distance learning systems to advaced digital TV, he has been involved in most kinds of interface design work. Norman set up his own consulting ground to help companies make “human-centred” products. He is also a fellow of various august American bodies, including the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. Among his books are Things that Make Us Smart and The Invisible Computer. He is working on a book about the future of everyday things.
