SHOPS and pharmacies in many countries may still be selling nutritional supplements, vitamins and a few conventional medicines made by an Australian company accused of serious flaws in its manufacturing process.

Australia’s Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) has so far contacted regulators in 40 countries, including Britain and the US. Tracking down where potentially substandard drugs are ending up is taking days because the products are distributed under a variety of brand names by other companies.
