A new way of moulding the cutter line in grass strimmers could restore peace to gardens worldwide (US 2003/0041463).

Proulx Manufacturing in California has found a way to silence the loud, high-frequency whine made by the nylon line as it spins and cuts grass at several thousand revs per minute.
