Military software corrects the MRI jitters

A SOFTWARE fix for improving the quality of aircraft-mounted radar images could also correct blurred MRI scans and save hospitals the cost of repeating them.

MRI scans can take up to 10 minutes and even a slight twitch on the part of the patient can ruin the image. As a result, up to 10 per cent of images must be repeated, costing as much as £750 a scan.
