A simple motion sensor could help protect laptops from sneak thieves, says the intriguingly named David & Chris Corporation of Seoul, South Korea (WO 2004/102823). A new security module intended to go inside the laptop contains an accelerometer that can be activated whenever the user thinks there is any risk of theft, such as when the machine is left alone.
