It could become the ultimate flight simulator, or allow people to instantly travel to places across the other side of the planet. The Panascope is a 3D virtual reality simulator that is over 3 metres high and 5 metres wide. Users stand in the middle, and operate an “industrial strength” joystick to navigate around a computer-generated world. Its Canadian designer, Ideaction of Montreal, Quebec, hopes it will become popular in science museums and art galleries.
