Robotic vehicles rev up for race across the desert

It is a strange and gruelling race across 250 kilometres of rugged and treacherous desert. There won’t actually be any people racing, and none of the teams even expects to make it to the finish line, never mind crossing it in first place. But if one of them does, there is a $2 million prize to be won.
