The Domesday Book, the survey of England completed in 1086 by King William I, has gone digital. The UK’s National Archives has created an online version of the survey. Users can search the database by the names of places or people and, for a fee, download of a copy of the original page along with a modern translation of the entry.

Mini-satellites that can navigate autonomously and inspect spacecraft in orbit are being developed by the US air force. The satellites would piggyback on the spacecraft they intend to monitor during launch, then detach but remain close once in orbit.…
