Cloned milk probe
The UK’s Food Standards Agency is investigating allegations that milk from the offspring of cloned cows is being sold illegally in the UK and elsewhere in Europe. The FSA says that although authorities in Europe and the US judge meat and milk from cloned animals and their offspring to be safe to consume, they are considered novel foods and so need special authorisation for sale.
