JOGGERS have unwittingly revealed the locations of secret military bases by sharing their running routes using the fitness-tracking app Strava.
On Monday, it emerged that “heat maps” released by the company, which show the aggregated routes of runners around the world, reveal the outlines of military facilities traced by people running around their perimeters.
The maps show a popular running route along a river in Pyongyang, North Korea, as well as the outline of an embassy compound in the city. US military bases are also shown, including Camp Lemonnier near Djibouti City, from which drone strikes into Yemen and Syria…
