I didn’t know there was a third book in Adrian Tchaikovsky’s fantastic Children of Time series until I was looking it up to recommend to a friend. But it turns out Children of Memory came out last year, so I dived right in. The trilogy is set in the distant future, when humans have spread throughout the universe, finding (and creating) other sentient species as they go. There are spiders with astonishing humanity, octopuses who communicate through colours rippling over their skin and all sorts of adventures.
