Joshua Howgego has been on staff with New Scientist for nearly nine years and is currently the Acting Head of Features. He primarily covers physical sciences, space and cosmology. Josh has a PhD in chemistry from the University of Bristol, UK, and an MSc in science communication from Imperial College London. He previously worked as a freelance journalist and as an editor at SciDev.net, a media website that covers the intersection of science and global development. Josh's first book The Meteorite Hunters is out in the UK February 2025
