Rather than landing in Utah, the probe with the soil samples should land in
Kansas. You see, there is no evolution there, so presumably any microorganisms
on Mars would be the same as those in Kansas and thus pose no threat.
On second thoughts, no life would ever have evolved on Mars by KD (Kansas
Definition), so all of us American taxpayers, not to mention the French and
Italians, could save a bundle in taxes if the project was dropped.
