I’ve read of using sandbags filled with lunar soil to build shelters before,
but Ebrahim Khalili also proposes to reinforce them with barbed wire
(4 March, p 9).
To pierce the bags, the barbed wire will need to be sharp. These shelters
will be built by astronauts. Barbed wire. Spacesuits. Vacuum. Hmm.
