Letter: Not junk

Published 6 May 2000

From Chris Jeffries

It seems odd that DNA replication might exploit quantum effects to maximise efficiency
(15 April, p 20)
when it wastes time replicating all that “junk DNA”. If Apoorva Patel turns out to be right,
this will surely be a strong argument that that DNA is not junk at all.
